• Hi. I'm Kirthan.

Death is difficult but you don’t have to do it alone.

I know firsthand how daunting it is to watch a loved one die and be faced with the many responsibilities of end-of-life care.  Those tasks can be even more difficult when you don’t know what your loved one wants. I’m here to help organize your end-of-life wishes, provide traditional death doula care, and educate you about the realities of grief. .

  • How I got here:

I spent the last decade working in social media and doing freelance writing for various online outlets. Even when I was doing that work, I occasionally found ways to infuse my death interests, such as interviewing Caitlin Doughty (founder of The Order of the Good Death) for She Does The City. In 2020 I started an Instagram account called @that_goodnight to begin educating people about all things related to death and grief.

  • By 2021, I felt that community death care was calling my name.

I completed the Death Doula program from Douglas College and later earned a certificate in Grief Education from OISE. As I’ve cared for multiple family members at end-of-life over the past five years, I’ve come to appreciate the complexities and daunting tasks involved in dying. That’s why I’m here to help you.
